Term 2
| Senior Infants enjoyed many Aistear themes this term. They loved their role play areas in The Shopping Centre and The Classroom. They created beanstalks, houses, castles etc in their Junk Art area for ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ They enjoyed learning about different animals and sea creatures in our Under the Sea and Zoo themes. They discovered the wonders of the deep blue sea and the zoo. They created beautiful pieces of art related to these themes. The children enjoyed many special days this term. The classroom was a sea of green for ‘Lá Glas.’ On World Book Day the children did a fantastic job of bringing their favourite book characters to life. They also enjoyed learning about Spring, St. Valentine, St. Patrick and Easter. They created wonderful cards for Mother’s Day. |
World Book Day 2026
We paired up with 4th class for some reading to mark this year’s World Book Day. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Christmas Fun
| The children have settled in very well to Senior Infants. They enjoyed our Aistear themes of Hobbies, Autumn, The Birthday Party and Hallowee’en. They loved creating potions and spells in our Hallowe’en role play area. They were fantastic wizards and witches! In Art they loved making their self portraits. They also created colourful scarecrows and spooky skeletons. The children enjoyed learning about the food pyramid. They are enjoying our active breaks and our Skip Around the World Challenge. It’s brilliant to see how much the children have improved at skipping. They are a very healthy bunch! |
